Environment Committee
Northeast Florida is home to some of the most ecologically diverse environments, such as salt marsh, dune systems, and the St. Johns River.
While these ecosystems are vulnerable to climate change, some of them can also serve as a means of protection and resilience. The Environment Committee serves to enhance the region’s resilience by protecting ecosystems and using nature-based solutions.
The committee also focuses on addressing other environmental hazards such as extreme heat, while serving as a conduit of information through education.
